A. Absolutely. We share the milk with our calves ensuring that they grow up big and healthy, only taking a small amount each day. We allow the mother and her baby to bond for 2 months before they head to the dairy, and let the mother naturally wean her calf when she decides it's time.

A. Milking a camel is relatively the same as milking a cow, it's just a bit higher off the ground. They have four teets and we use a special milking machine attached to her udder. However, there is one major difference in our dairy operation - our baby camels remain beside their mother in a specially designed milking race while we milk them.
A. While we are not certified organic (yet), we follow organic farming practices which include: no use of hormones, antibiotics or grain, ethical treatment of our animals, pasture fed and organic hay as well as producing our own feed.
